Facing the Qiblah.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : And among that is also that a person faces the Qiblah, and facing the Qiblah is a condition for the validity of the prayer, due to the saying of Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He):
And from wherever you go out [for prayer], turn your face toward al-Masjid al-Haram. And wherever you [believers] may be, turn your faces toward it ومن حيث خرجت فول وجهك شطر المسجد الحرام وحيث كنتم فولوا وجوهكم شطره
[Al-Baqarah 2:150]
And on this basis, if a person stays in a house as a guest of his companion, or stays in a house by rent or by purchase, and then prays in this house and it turns out that he prayed in a direction other than the Qiblah, it is obligatory for him to do what? Repeat the prayer, because he prayed in a direction other than the Qiblah, and facing the Qiblah is necessary.
