Explanation of how to position the feet in the sitting between the two prostrations and in the first and final tashahhud.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : How should the feet be positioned? We say that in the sitting between the two prostrations, one spreads the left foot and stands on the right foot. In the first tashahhud, it is the same: one spreads the left foot and stands on the right foot. In the final tashahhud, if the prayer is two-rak'ah, the sitting for the tashahhud is like the sitting between the two prostrations, meaning one spreads the left foot and stands on the right foot. If the prayer has two tashahhuds, one sits in the final tashahhud in the tawruk position. Tawruk has three characteristics. The first characteristic is to stand on the right foot and bring the left foot out from under the shin, from under the right shin, so that it comes out to the right side. The second characteristic is to spread the right foot, and likewise the left foot, and bring it out from under the right foot's shin. The third characteristic is like this second one, meaning one spreads the right foot, while the left foot is placed between the thigh and the shin, as explicitly stated in Sahih Muslim. These are the three characteristics of tawruk.
