Is it permissible for a man to say: Does Allah have a place?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : He says:The questioner : Your Eminence, is it permissible for a man to say: Does Allah have a place?

The Shaykh : Yes, first of all, this question was asked by the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), but in a different form. He asked the slave girl, "What is it?"
Where is Allah? أين الله؟
And "where" is used to inquire about location in all the languages of the world. Of course, the wording differs in languages other than Arabic, but the meaning of "where" is to inquire about location.
However, we must know that Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) is not confined by any of His creations, for He (Exalted and Majestic is He) is above everything. That which is above the creations is non-existence; there is nothing that surrounds Allah (Mighty and Majestic). So Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) is above everything, but nothing from His creations surrounds Him.
I am now in a place, on the Footstool. The Footstool surrounds me from every direction. But the Lord (Mighty and Majestic) is above His heavens, and nothing from His creations surrounds Him. Why? Because that which is above the creations is non-existence; there is nothing to surround Allah (Mighty and Majestic). So Allah (Exalted and Majestic is He) is above everything, and He is referred to as being on High. Likewise, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "Where is Allah?" and the slave girl said, "In the sky." But this place does not surround Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He), because that which is above the creations is non-existence. What does non-existence mean? It means there is nothing. There is nothing but Allah (Mighty and Majestic). So He is above everything (Exalted and Majestic is He). We ask, as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "Where is Allah?" and we say: He is in the sky.
