Is it permissible for a person to ask a company to buy a certain item for him on the condition that he repays the amount with interest in installments?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : I am a person who wants to start a project, but I do not have enough money to buy the necessary equipment for the project. So, one of the companies offered to buy it for me and let me pay it off in installments with an increase in the amount. What is the ruling on that?

The Shaykh : What I see is that this is forbidden. When a person needs an item and does not have it, and he goes to a merchant or a company and they buy it for him, then sell it to him in installments, we see that this is forbidden. Why? Because it is a ruse. Instead of the merchant or the company lending you a loan with interest, as they call it, he goes and buys it for you—had it not been for you, he would not have bought it—then he sells it to you with interest. This is a clear ruse. Ruses regarding the forbidden do not make it lawful, just as ruses regarding the obligatory do not remove the obligation. Yes.
And this is a rule that a student of knowledge should understand: "Ruses regarding the forbidden do not make it—what?—do not make it lawful, and ruses regarding the obligatory do not remove it". Yes.
