What is the ruling on making a condition when performing 'Umrah every time, in anticipation of an unexpected event on the road that might prevent this person from completing his 'Umrah?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : May Allah reward you. What is the ruling on making a condition when performing 'Umrah every time, in anticipation of an unexpected event on the road that might prevent this person from completing his 'Umrah?

The Shaykh : It is better for a person who intends to enter the state of ihram for Hajj or 'Umrah not to make a condition, but rather to say "Labbaik 'Umrah" and be decisive, without making a condition. This is because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) entered the state of ihram and did not make a condition. And Allah the Exalted said:
There has certainly been for you in the Messenger of Allah an excellent pattern لقد كان لكم في رسول الله أسوة حسنة
[Al-Ahzab 33:21]
If a person expects an obstacle to completing the rites, such as a patient who fears for his life that he will not be able to complete the rites, then at that time we say it is better to make a condition and say when entering the state of ihram: "If I am prevented by a preventer, then my place of completion is where I am prevented". The evidence for this is that Subay'ah, the daughter of al-Zubayr, wanted to perform Hajj, so she came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said that she wanted to perform Hajj and that she was suffering from an illness. He said:
Perform Hajj, but stipulate that my place of standing is where I am detained, for you have upon your Lord what you have stipulated. حجي واشترطي أن محلي حيث حبستني فإن لك على ربك ما استثنيت
As for the one who does not expect [an obstacle], the one who has nothing present, he does not make a condition. And as for expecting an incident, this is all a matter of uncertainty.
In summary: Whoever has an obstacle that he fears will prevent him from completing the rites should make a condition, and whoever does not, should not.
What time is it now? It is eleven, meaning the time has ended now, the time has ended. And Glory is to You, O our Lord, and praise. I testify that there is no deity but You. I seek Your forgiveness and I repent to You. I hope that everyone stays in their place. Everyone stays in their place. May Allah reward you with good.
