Is it permissible to admonish people at the grave after the burial of the deceased is completed?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : The questioner asks: Is it permissible to admonish people at the grave after the burial of the deceased is completed?

The Shaykh : Yes, no, I am not aware of any sunnah (recommended practice) from the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) regarding this. The most I have heard is
but over every possessor of knowledge is one [more] knowing.
[Yusuf 12:76]
two things:
The first thing: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to al-Baqi' while they were burying a man, but they had not yet dug the grave for him. He sat down, and his Companions sat around him, and he began to talk to them about the state of a person at death and his state when buried. This means ordinary speech. This is one instance.
The second: One day he was at a grave while his daughter was being buried, and he said:
None of you is there but that his place in Paradise and his place in the Fire has been written for him. They said: O Messenger of Allah, if our places are written, should we not leave off our deeds and rely on what has been written? He said: No, work, for everyone is facilitated for what he was created for. As for the people of happiness, they are facilitated for the deeds of the people of happiness. And as for the people of misery, they are facilitated for the deeds of the people of misery.
. The speech is clear. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), whose words are truth and whose words are proof, cited the Qur'an as evidence. Glory be to Allah, the Messenger cites the Qur'an as evidence. What did he cite? What did he cite? He recited the saying of Allah the Exalted:
(5) As for he who gives and fears Allah (6) And believes in the best [reward], (7) We will ease him toward ease. (8) But as for he who withholds and considers himself free of need (9) And denies the best [reward],
[Al-Layl 92:5-9]
This is what reached us. As for a person standing as a preacher, no, this has not reached me. If anyone has knowledge of that, let him present it to me, but he will not find a way to it. Admonitions and sermons belong in the mosques or in the gatherings of people when they ask a person to preach to them. As for at the grave, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), when he finished burying the deceased or when the burial of the deceased was finished, would stand over it and say:
Seek forgiveness for your brother, and beg steadfastness for him, for he will be questioned now.
Sunan Abi Dawud 3221Sahih (Al-Albani)
He does not preach to the people, and there is nothing else. You stand over the grave and say: O Allah, forgive him, O Allah, forgive him, O Allah, forgive him, O Allah, make him firm, O Allah, make him firm, O Allah, make him firm. If you wish, complete the verse:
Allah keeps firm those who believe, with the firm word, in worldly life and in the Hereafter
[Ibrahim 14:27]
three times. I said you say it three times because the majority of the supplications of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), when he supplicated, were that he would supplicate three times. Otherwise, I have no evidence for that. The word "seek forgiveness" and asking for firmness is valid with one time. But we say the occasion is one of supplication, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), when he supplicated, usually supplicated three times. Then the people leave, and the person remains in his grave. Who is with him? Who is with him, O brothers?
The student: His deeds.

The Shaykh : His deeds. And for this reason, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) informed that when a person dies, three things follow him: his family, his wealth, and his deeds. Two return and one remains. His family, who are the most eager for him and compassionate toward him, return, and his wealth returns, and his deeds remain. I ask Allah to rectify the deeds for me and for you, and to make them our companion in our graves. Yes.
