Mentioning the causes of sodomy and how to treat this abhorrent phenomenon.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : I say, if someone were to ask, if this were to spread in society, we ask Allah for well-being and we ask Allah to protect our country from it, does it have causes?
We say, yes, it has causes: youth.
The second: singing.
The third: idleness.
Idleness. Many of our young people now are idle; they have no work. They are wealthy; their food, drink, clothing, and housing are provided. A young man has strength, energy, and recklessness. For this reason, it came in the hadith
That Allah is pleased with the young man who has no passion for sin. أن الله يعجب من الشاب ليست له صبوة
meaning deviation, because youth is one of the causes of deviation, except for whom Allah protects. This singing, idleness, and youth are causes for this thing.
And among them is also: watching obscene images in the magazines and newspapers that our enemies have started sending to us, like the unleashed locusts. Do you know locusts or not? When the locusts swarm and come to us from every side, what drives them? The enemies have started flying newspapers and magazines to us from outside because they know that there is no kingdom, and I say this in the Sacred Mosque in front of the Ka'bah, there is no kingdom, as far as I know, better than this kingdom in conduct, morals, and the implementation of the Book and the Sunnah. I am not saying it is perfect; it is not perfect. If I said it was perfect, reality would refute me. But I say it is the best of the lands of the Muslims.
Therefore, the enemies focus on this country with what would be a cause for its moral deviation and a cause for its intellectual deviation. They even attacked the Saudi judiciary, although it is derived from where? From the Book and the Sunnah. They attacked it, wanting it to be like the judiciary in other countries. This is not something to be silent about. So I say, these newspapers and magazines are among the causes of the spread of immorality, whether in sodomy or in unlawful sexual intercourse, may Allah protect us. For this reason, it is obligatory for men, the guardians of the household and children, if they see in the hands of their family members, whether boys or girls, such magazines, to turn them away from them by persuasion and good manner, not by foolishness, violence, and tyranny, but by persuasion. If they are guided, that is what is desired. Otherwise, then we move to what? To what? To strictness. We burn these magazines and destroy them. And among that is also what is watched on the satellite channels, where one sees in them of the wrongs and the broadcasting of ideas that corrupt tawhid (the oneness of Allah) and innovations that corrupt the creed. Sound intellect testifies, let alone one who knows the straight path, that possessing them is not permissible. Why? Because of the great wrongs they lead to. And even if it is estimated that there are benefits in them like a white hair on the skin of a black bull, that is submerged by the great harms in them. If you reflect on society, you will find that in these two years when these channels spread, it changed greatly, especially the young boys who are engrossed in these channels in the rest houses, in the desert, and elsewhere. They changed greatly because they see things that their souls are drawn to. Idle youth who have no occupation. And the wonder is that some of the fathers who are guardians over their families are the ones who bring these channels into their homes. They themselves bring them into their homes and watch their family members, sons, daughters, wives, and sisters, look at the wrongs that corrupt morals, and then they do not say a word. And perhaps the man does not bring it himself, but the wife brings it because she is employed, or the children, or something like that. And he watches them and passes by them going and coming, watching these abhorrent films, and does not forbid them from this. This thing we have learned from what we hear. And if that is the case, let us ask you, O brothers, here in the Sacred Mosque: Is this man fulfilling the trust that Allah placed upon him, where he enabled his family to watch destroyers of morals and creeds? Or is he deceiving them? He is deceiving them, because he is able to prevent them. He is deceiving them. And if he is deceiving them, let us listen to the saying of the Infallible (peace and blessings be upon him)
No servant whom Allah places in charge of a group of people dies on the day of his death while he is deceiving them, but Allah forbids him Paradise. ما من عبد يسترعيه الله على رعية يموت يوم يموت وهو غاش لها إلا حرم الله عليه الجنة
And this includes the great guardians as well as those below them. And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said
A man is a shepherd over his family and is responsible for his flock. الرجل راع في أهله ومسؤول عن رعيته
If this is the word of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him)
A man is a shepherd over his family and is responsible for his flock. الرجل راع في أهله ومسؤول عن رعيته
And he said
No servant whom Allah places in charge of a group of people dies on the day of his death while he is deceiving them, but Allah forbids him Paradise. ما من عبد يسترعيه الله على رعية يموت يوم يموت وهو غاش لها إلا حرم الله عليه الجنة
And this man is able to prevent his family from these channels that destroy morals, ideas, and creeds, so he fears that this warning will befall him.
