Are there authentic hadiths regarding the prayer of tasbih?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : May Allah reward you with good. This questioner says: "O honorable Shaykh, are the hadiths regarding the prayer of tasbih authentic?"

The Shaykh : No, the prayer of tasbih is not authentic from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Therefore, it is not prescribed to perform it. It is, I mean the prayer of tasbih, different from other prayers; it is prayed every day. If that is difficult, then it is prayed every week. If that is difficult, then it is prayed every month. If that is difficult, then it is prayed every year. If that is difficult, then it is prayed once in a lifetime. It is not prescribed. Furthermore, its form and manner are also outside the scope of the customary prayer. If something like this were prescribed, it would have spread and become known, because it differs from the others. The custom is that people and their souls are eager to transmit what is contrary to the norm. The Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah (may Allah have mercy on him) mentioned "that none of the Imams recommended it, and that its hadith is invalid". We say that it may not reach the level of being invalid, but it is very weak. And acting upon a weak hadith in establishing acts of worship is not permissible. Yes.
