What is the ruling on a woman seeking treatment from a male doctor when a female doctor is available?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : This is a question, or a questioner says: What is the ruling on a woman seeking treatment from a man when there are women who can treat this illness, this specific illness, but the man is more skilled in this specialty than the women, such as treatment for infertility, for example?

The Shaykh : Seeking treatment from a man means that if a woman seeks treatment from a man without seclusion and she needs to do so, there is nothing wrong with it. However, her mahram (a relative one may not marry) must be present, or someone whose presence removes the seclusion, even if a woman is available who can treat this woman. If the man is more skilled and knowledgeable, there is nothing wrong with it. But the entire problem is for a man to be alone with a woman when treating her. This is not permissible, whether in medicine that involves recitation and the like, or otherwise. Being alone with a woman is not permissible at all. Yes.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good.
