A bed for you, a bed for your wife, and a bed for Satan فراش لك وفراش لزوجتك وفراش للشيطان
What is the meaning of the hadith?

The Shaykh : For your guest, for your guest.

The questioner :
A bed for you, a bed فراش لك وفراش
.

The Shaykh :
For your family, a bed for the guest, and a bed for Satan لأهلك وفراش للضيف وفراش للشيطان
.

The questioner : The fourth, yes.

The Shaykh : The meaning is that the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) warns against extravagance and taking more than what is necessary, especially in a time like the time of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), when people need the wealth that is spent on more beneficial and important matters. It is attributed to Satan because it is a form of extravagance. And Allah the Exalted said:
And be not excessive. Indeed, He does not like those who commit excess. وَلا تُسْرِفُوا إِنَّهُ لا يُحِبُّ الْمُسْرِفِينَ
[Al-An'am 6:141]
