Explanation of the Book of Ablution, Ghusl, Menstruation, and Tayammum-05b

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: Musa narrated to us, saying: Wahib narrated to us from Amr from his father:
I witnessed Amr ibn Abi Hasan asking Abdullah ibn Zayd about the ablution of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). So he called for a vessel of water and performed the ablution of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) for him. He poured water from the vessel over his hand and washed his hands three times. Then he put his hand in the vessel, rinsed his mouth, inhaled water into his nose, and blew it out, three mouthfuls. Then he put his hand in and washed his face three times. Then he washed his arms up to the elbows twice. Then he put his hand in and wiped his head, moving his hands forward and back once. Then he washed his feet up to the ankles.
.

The Shaykh : This is like the first one, except that here he washed his hands three times, whereas in the first one it was twice. He washed his hands before washing his face.
It also contains clear evidence that the feet are washed up to the ankles, and this is also in the Qur'an. But are the ankles included?
The answer is yes. Although the original rule in the Arabic language is that what comes after the limit is not included, here the Sunnah indicates that the ankles are included in the washing. The same is said regarding the elbows. And what are the ankles?
The ankles are the two prominent bones at the bottom of the lower leg. Is that right, Muhammad? It has also been said that they are the two prominent bones on the back of the foot. This latter opinion is the opinion of the Rafidah Shi'ah. Ibn Kathir (may Allah have mercy on him) mentioned in his tafsir that the Rafidah contradicted the Sunnah in the purification of the foot in three ways:
First: that the limit of the obligation in their view is the ankle bone on the back of the foot.
Second: that the obligation is wiping, not washing.
Third: that they do not wipe over the leather socks, despite the establishment of the Sunnah regarding this, and despite the fact that one of those who narrated the hadiths of wiping over the leather socks is Ali ibn Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him).
