Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: The author (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
From 'Amr ibn Yahya al-Mazini from his father.

The Shaykh : In the book, in the book *Umdat al-Ahkam*, so that people may know.
The reciter: Very well.

The Shaykh : Yes.
The reciter: The author, the Imam al-Hafiz 'Abd al-Ghani al-Maqdisi, said in his book titled *Umdat al-Ahkam*:
From 'Amr ibn Yahya al-Mazini from his father, who said:
I witnessed 'Amr ibn Abi al-Hasan asking 'Abd Allah ibn Zayd about the ablution of the Messenger of Allah
.

The Shaykh : About the ablution — with a dammah on the waw.
The reciter:
about the ablution of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). So he called for a basin of water and performed for them the ablution of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). He poured water from the basin over his hands and washed them three times. Then he put his hands into the basin, rinsed his mouth, inhaled water into his nose, and blew it out three times with three handfuls. Then he put his hand into the basin and washed his face three times. Then he put his hand in and washed both arms up to the elbows twice. Then he put his hands in and wiped his head with them, moving them forward and backward once. Then he washed his feet.
. And in a narration:
He began with the front of his head until they went to the nape of his neck. Then he brought them back again to the place where he began.
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 32Sahih (Darussalam)
. And in a narration:
The Messenger of Allah came to us, and we brought water out to him in a vessel of brass
Sunan Ibn Majah 471Sahih (Darussalam)
.
And the *tawr* is like a washbasin.

The Shaykh : This hadith and the one before it are in explaining the manner of ablution. — It seems sleep is overpowering you, why not? Have you not slept now? Tell the truth, are you fighting it? Very well. Is there water? There is no water? Are they going to carry it away? Very well. May Allah protect you from the water, otherwise we would sprinkle it on you. Sit down. Sit down —.
