The reciter: Muhammad narrated to us, saying: Sufyan ibn 'Uyaynah informed us from Abu Hazim, who heard Sahl ibn Sa'd al-Sa'idi: .
The Shaykh : May Allah send prayers and peace upon him. Allahu Akbar.
The people asked him, and there was no one between me and him: with what was the wound of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) treated? He said: No one remains who knows more about it than I. 'Ali would come with his shield containing water, and Fatimah would wash the blood from his face. Then he took a mat, burned it, and stuffed the wound with it.
وسأله الناس وما بيني وبينه أحد : بأي شيء دووي جرح النبي صلّى الله عليه وسلم ؟ فقال : ما بقي أحد أعلم به مني ، كان علي يجيء بترسه فيه ماء ، وفاطمة تغسل عن وجهه الدم ، فأخذ حصير فأحرق فحشي به جرحهThe Shaykh : May Allah send prayers and peace upon him. Allahu Akbar.
