What is the ruling on wearing a watch on the right hand?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : He is asking about the ruling of the Shari'ah, in your view, regarding wearing a watch on the right hand. Is there any blame in it?

The Shaykh : Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and I send prayers and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad, the Seal of the Prophets and the Imam of the righteous, and upon his family and his Companions, and those who follow them with excellence until the Day of Judgment. There is no blame in wearing a watch on the right hand, nor is there any preference for it. A person is free to choose whether to wear his watch on the right or the left hand. It is established that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sometimes wore his ring on the right hand and sometimes on the left. Wearing a watch is of the same kind as wearing a ring. Therefore, we say: if one wears it on the left hand, he owes nothing, and if he wears it on the right hand, he owes nothing. There is no preference for one over the other. Yes.

The questioner : May Allah bless you. This listener, Yusuf Muhammad, says.
