Explanation of the Book of Ablution, the Full Ritual Bath, Menstruation, and Dry Ablution-10b

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: Khalad ibn Yahya narrated to us, saying: Ibrahim ibn Nafi' narrated to me from al-Hasan ibn Muslim from Safiyyah bint Shaybah from A'ishah, who said:
Whenever any one of us was Junub, she poured water over her head thrice with both her hands and then rubbed the right side of her head with one hand and rubbed the left side of the head with the other hand. كنا إذا أصابت احدانا جنابة أخذت بيديها ثلاثا فوق رأسها ثم بيدها على شقها الأيمن وبيدها الأخرى على شقها الأيسر
Sahih al-Bukhari 277
.

The Shaykh : And this is the principle: when a person performs ablution from major ritual impurity and intends to cover his entire body, he begins with the right side. This is supported by the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) regarding the women who wash his daughter, where he said:
Start from the right side beginning with those parts which are washed in ablution. ابدأن بميامنها ومواضع الوضوء منها
Sahih al-Bukhari 167
. It is also supported by the general hadith of A'ishah:
Allah’s Messenger (rad) loved to begin with the right while putting on his shoes, combing his hair, in his purification and in all his affairsكان النبي صلّى الله عليه وسلم يعجبه التيامن في تنعله وطهوره وترجله وفي شأنه كله
Bulugh al-Maram 44
