The reciter: Adam narrated to us, saying: Shu'bah narrated to us from al-A'mash, saying: I heard Ibrahim narrating from Hammam ibn al-Harith, saying:
I saw Jarir ibn Abdullah relieve himself, then perform wudu' and wipe over his leather socks, then stand up and pray. He was asked about it, so he said: I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) do the same. Ibrahim said: This was a source of wonder for them, because Jarir was among the last to embrace Islam.
رأيت جرير بن عبد الله بال ثم توضأ ومسح على خفيه، ثم قام فصلى فسئل فقال: رأيت النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم صنع مثل هذا. قال: إبراهيم فكان يعجبهم لأن جريرًا كان من آخر من أسلم .
