The reciter: And it was narrated to us by Uthman ibn Abi Shaybah and Ishaq ibn Ibrahim, both of them from Jarir. Uthman said: Jarir narrated to us from al-A'mash from Abu Wa'il, who said: Abdullah said:

I prayed with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) and he lengthened it till I entertained an evil thought. It was said to him what that thought was. He said: I thought that I should sit down and forsake him.

صليت مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلّم فأطال حتى هممت بأمر سوء قال: قيل: وما هممت به؟ قال: هممت أن أجلس وأدعه
