Is al-Haqq (The Truth) among the names of Allah?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Is al-Haqq (The Truth) among the names of Allah?

The Shaykh : Yes. Al-Haqq (The Truth) is among the names of Allah the Exalted. Allah the Exalted said:
That is because Allah is the Truth ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الْحَقُّ
[Al-Hajj 22:6]
and they will know that it is Allah who is the perfect in justice. وَيَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الْحَقُّ الْمُبِينُ
[An-Nur 24:25]
But we often hear people, when they want to cite a verse, say, "The Truth said so and so." It is better to express it as the Salaf (the earliest generations) used to express it, saying, "Allah said so and so, Allah said so and so." Even the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), when he reported a hadith about Allah Mighty and Majestic, would say:
Allah the Exalted said قال الله تعالى
So what we should do is follow what our Salaf (the earliest generations) did in such matters. And when we want to cite a verse, we should say, "Allah the Exalted said so and so." Yes.

The questioner : May Allah bless you, O honorable Shaykh.
