The Meaning of the Poet's Statement: "And those who say that it is other than Him..."

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"And those who say that it is other than Him ***"
That it is other than Him, meaning: that the act is other than the acted-upon. "*** They are in dispute"
Also, "And they are two groups
One of them said: An eternal attribute subsisting *** in the essence, and it is like the power of the Bestower
His Majesty is ancient in creation.

Those who said that the act is other than the acted-upon disagreed: is the act prior to the acted-upon, or concurrent with it? They disagreed on two positions. Are you with me, everyone?
The student: I am with you.
Another student : ...

The Shaykh : We mentioned it, we mentioned it. If we say that the act is the acted-upon, then in reality, Allah has no act, because the acted-upon is separate from Allah. The acted-upon is a created thing that is separate. The heavens are separate, and the earth is separate, and the human being is separate. All created things are separate from Allah, so Allah has no act that subsists in Him.
Now, I say: Those who said that the act is other than the acted-upon disputed: is the act concurrent with the acted-upon, or is the act eternal like the eternity of power, knowledge, hearing, and sight? Settle down, he said:
"And those who say that it is other than Him ***"
