The Meaning of the Poet's Statement: "And for this reason, they said that Allah did not *** have the power to reform the one who disobeys, and for this reason, they said that Allah did not *** have the power to grant faith to the one who disbelieves"

The Shaykh :"And for this reason, they said that Allah did not *** have the power to reform the one who disobeys"
Why? Because the servant's action has no connection to Allah. If the servant intends to commit sin, then Allah the Exalted has no involvement in it; in their claim, Allah does not have the power to turn him toward obedience. And if he intends obedience, Allah does not have the power to make him a sinner. So, what is this based on? And what is qadar (divine decree) based on? It is based on justice.
"And for this reason, they said that Allah did not *** have the power to reform the one who disobeys"
"And for this reason, they said that Allah did not *** have the power to grant faith to the one who disbelieves"
Allah does not have the power to grant faith to the disbeliever in any way. They claim that Allah does not have the power to make the disbeliever a believer, nor the open sinner obedient. Why? Because the servant's action has no connection to Allah. The servant is independent in his action; he has no share in qada' wa qadar (divine decree and destiny).
