And for His sake, they have denied His decree *** Like the Magi who worship the fire (Denial by the Qadariyyah of Allah's knowledge of the servant's actions and mention of the categories of the Qadariyyah in Allah's knowledge)

The Shaykh :"And for His sake, they have denied His decree *** Like the Magi who worship the fire"
They are the Qadariyyah who denied the decree of Allah. The Qadariyyah are a group from the Ummah who claim affiliation with the Ummah. They say that Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, has no connection to the action of the servant and does not know about the servant unless the servant acts. Pay attention: they say that Allah does not know about the servant at all, has no control over him, and does not know of his action unless he performs it. Look, they denied knowledge, denied the recording, denied the will, and denied creation. This is the view of their extremists. As for the moderate ones among them, they said that Allah knows but does not decree. He knows that the servant will do such and such, but He cannot change it, because the action of the servant is by the will of whom? By the will of the servant. Allah has no connection to it. Which of these is better, these or the extremists?
The student: They are all evil.

The Shaykh : Well, they are all evil. In reality, the extremists said that He does not know, does not will, and does not create. He has no involvement and does not know about the servant unless He sees it, just as I do not know about you unless I see the thing before me. And what they settled on as their view is that He knows but does not will and does not create. He knows that the servant does such and such, but He cannot change it, because the action of the servant is not what? It is not by the will of Allah. In any case, the author says that these Qadariyyah are like the Magi. How were they like the Magi? What is the point of similarity? The Magi say that the universe has two creators. So everything that happens in it is either from the creation of Light or from the creation of Darkness. Everything that happens in the universe is either from Darkness or from Light. If it is good, it is from Light; if it is evil, it is from Darkness. So they made two creators for creation. These Qadariyyah made two creators for events: events from the action of Allah, such as sending down rain, causing the earth to grow, giving life, and causing death; and events from the action of the servant. So the first category is specific to Allah, and the second is specific to the servant. Thus, there are two creators for events. So for this reason, he said:
"Like the Magi who worship the fire".
