The Meaning of the Poet's Saying: "Indeed, the texts have formed us, and we have no hands *** to meet them for all eternity"

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
The author (may Allah have mercy on him) says:
"Indeed, the texts have formed us, and we have no hands *** to meet them for all eternity"
This means that we have no power in them, because the texts are accepted by everyone, even the common people accept them when it is said to them, "Allah said, His Messenger said," so they pause and act upon them.
"How much is it said, 'Allah said'" Is that the case with you?
The student: ...

The Shaykh : Yes, by Allah, it is excellent.
"How much is it said, 'Allah said, His Messenger said' *** from above our necks and our fingers"
This means that how often it is said, "Allah said, His Messenger said," from above our necks and our fingers. He said "from above the necks and the fingers" by way of analogy to the saying of Allah the Exalted:
so strike [them] upon the necks and strike from them every fingertip." فاضربوا فوق الأعناق واضربوا منهم كل بنان
[Al-Anfal 8:12]
This means that this statement from us is in the position of what the angels did to the disbelievers on the Day of Badr. Yes.
