The Meaning of the Poet's Words: He Accuses the Innocent of What He Himself Did, Seeking Fame *** And for That, the Ignorant Are Confused Between Them; They Call Them Hashawiyyah and Unwanted Sprouts *** and Those Who Ascribe a Body to Allah and Worshippers of Idols

The Shaykh : Now, he says:
"He accuses the innocent of what he himself did, seeking fame *** and for that"
And for that, is that how it is with you?
The student: Yes.

The Shaykh :"*** and for that, the ignorant are confused between them"
It means that he accuses the innocent of what he himself did. So the ignorant one who does not know is confused about the matter. He says: Perhaps the truth is with whom? With the people of denial of the divine attributes?
"They call them Hashawiyyah and unwanted sprouts *** and those who ascribe a body to Allah and worshippers of idols"
I seek refuge in Allah. It means they called the people of hadith by these titles: Hashawiyyah, and we have previously explained the meaning of Hashawiyyah. What are "unwanted sprouts"? They are also the unwanted sprouts in crops that have no benefit; sprouts that grow in the crop and are of no use. "Those who ascribe a body to Allah" means they say that Allah is a body, and it has been mentioned previously in this poem that no one from the people of hadith has said that Allah is a body. Good. Likewise, "worshippers of idols": they said, "You say that Allah is described with these attributes, and this necessitates that He is a body, and in that case, you are worshippers of idols; you have made Allah an idol."
