By the right of Your grace which You bestowed upon me *** and made my heart a retainer of the Qur'an (Is it permissible to swear by the right of grace?)

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"By the right of Your grace which You bestowed upon me ***"
The "waw" here is an oath. The "right of grace" is thanking it, i.e., gratitude for the grace. Gratitude is among the rights of Allah (Mighty and Majestic), but it is an action of the servant. So, is it permissible for a person to swear by the action of the servant and say, "By the right of Your grace"? Perhaps we would say that it is permissible on the basis that the right of grace is gratitude, which is an obligatory matter. That is to say: "By the certainty of this obligatory matter, I will certainly do such and such." It is also possible to say that "by the right of Your grace" means the obligation of grace that Allah (Mighty and Majestic) made obligatory and bestowed upon this one who was granted the grace. In that case, it would be an oath by the action of Allah. However, this is contrary to the apparent meaning of the phrase, may Allah have mercy on him.
"By the right of Your grace which You bestowed upon me *** and made my heart a retainer of the Qur'an"
His praising Allah by saying that Allah bestowed the grace upon him is clear. But "made my heart a retainer of the Qur'an"—the author does not intend by this to boast of the grace with arrogance and pride, but rather intends by this to speak of the grace of Allah.
