The Shaykh : Therefore, the situation differs; there is a great difference between the life of the barzakh (the interval between death and resurrection) and the life of this world.
He said: "This, and as for the presentation of the deeds of the *** servants to him, it is the truth that is possible
And a report has come regarding it; if the *** hadith is authentic"

The presentation of the deeds of the servants to the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him): the author says it is the truth that is possible. But if the hadith is authentic, then the presentation of deeds to the Messenger is possible—possible rationally. But the question remains: is it authentic by transmission, or is it not? Settle this, everyone. Therefore, his statement: "it is the truth that is possible" means it is not what? It is not rationally impossible.
"And a report has come regarding it; if the *** hadith is authentic, then it is truth, and this is not denied"
If a report has come, and if the report is authentic, then it is truth and not denied. The author’s statement "if it is authentic" is a criticism of the hadith and a hesitation regarding its authenticity. Consequently, the words of the commentator al-Harras (may Allah have mercy on him) regarding Ibn al-Qayyim in this matter are questionable, because Ibn al-Qayyim did not authenticate the hadith. He said, "If it is authentic, it is possible." Is the one who says "if it is authentic" like the one who says "it is authentic"? No, absolutely not. Rather, this is a criticism and a defect in the hadith. Therefore, he said:
"And a report has come regarding it; if the *** hadith is authentic, then it is truth, and this is not denied"
