But this is specific to one, and the one *** for the Chosen One is what the two nations do (The difference between presenting deeds to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and to others)

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"But this is specific to one, and the one *** for the Chosen One is what the two nations do"
But this referred to is presenting deeds to the dead other than the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). So this is specific to whom?
The student : To the Messenger

The Shaykh : No.
The student : To the relatives

The Shaykh : To the relatives. Presenting deeds to anyone other than the Prophet is specific to the relatives, if the reports are authentic. As for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), the presentation to him is general from all of the two nations.
And the summary is: The people of denial of the divine attributes (ta'til) argued for the life of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in his grave by saying that deeds are presented to him. So Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allah have mercy on him) says, "If this hadith is authentic, it is possible, and yet it does not follow that his life is like the life of this world." Then he said, "And this is not specific to the Messenger, for the deeds of the servants are presented to their relatives." Then he distinguished between presenting the deeds of the servants to their relatives and presenting the deeds of the Ummah to the Messenger, by saying that presenting the deeds of the Ummah to the Messenger is what? General, and presenting the deeds of the relatives is specific to the relatives.
