Commentary on the poet’s saying: But she is intoxicated with the love of her worldly life, and she will awaken after a time

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"But she is intoxicated with the love of her worldly life"
And he spoke the truth. Hearts are intoxicated, indeed, with the love of this worldly life. They strive for the world, first and last. A person sleeps while thinking about the world, and wakes up while thinking about the world. Yes, and when will they awaken?
He said: "And she will awaken after a time" When? At death. A person awakens and says: I wish I had done it, I wish I had done it.
And more severe than that is the awakening on the Day of Resurrection
(27) And the Day the wrongdoer will bite on his hands [in regret] he will say, "Oh, I wish I had taken with the Messenger a way. (28) Oh, woe to me! I wish I had not taken that one as a friend. (29) He led me away from the remembrance after it had come to me.
[Al-Furqan 25:27-29]
.
Allah the Exalted said:
And ever is Satan, to man, a deserter."
[Al-Furqan 25:29]
Or the one who says it is the same one who gnaws on his hands, saying:
And ever is Satan, to man, a deserter."
[Al-Furqan 25:29]
. And there, regret is of no avail. At death, regret is of no avail.
I ask Allah the Exalted, by His names and attributes, to make me and you among those who seize the times with righteous deeds, and to keep us firm at the time of death and after death, and on the Day that makes children gray-haired. Indeed, He is Generous and Noble.
Is the time up?
