So we now understand that the negation applies when one does not desire a child, as in the hadith of Abu Razin al-'Uqayli (may Allah be pleased with him)

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : So we now understand that the negation applies when one does not desire a child, as in the hadith of Abu Razin al-'Uqayli (may Allah be pleased with him), and the affirmation applies when one does desire a child. This combination undoubtedly agrees with the saying of Allah the Exalted:
And therein is whatever the souls desire and [what] delights the eyes وفيها ما تشتهيه الأنفس وتلذ الأعين
[Az-Zukhruf 43:71]
So what prevents a person in Paradise from having a child born to him in a short period of hours if he desires one? But will a person there have a longing for children in his soul? Allah knows best. Perhaps Allah will not give him a longing for children, and his enjoyment will be in what he has of the houris, the young boys, and others, as well as the offspring who followed him, for Allah said:
And those who believed and whose descendants followed them in faith - We will join with them their descendants والذين آمنوا واتبعتهم ذريتهم بإيمان ألحقنا بهم ذريتهم
[At-Tur 52:21]
. We find that a person in this world may be content without children if they are numerous, and he may not be concerned with children. So how about Paradise, which contains such enjoyment that consoles a person against everything else?
By this, we combine the hadiths indicating the existence of children with the hadiths denying it, by saying: if he desires it, there is no prevention; it is possible. But who says that he desires it? And in that case, the negation is understood to mean that they do not desire children, and if they do not desire them, they are not born to them. But the author also criticized this combination and said: "Yes."
