Denying deficiency in Allah according to the people of the Sunnah by affirming the perfection of the opposite, unlike the people of innovation.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : May Allah reward you. In denying deficiency in Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) according to the people of the Sunnah, it is affirming the perfection of the opposite...

The Shaykh : Okay.

The questioner : As for denial among those other than the people of the Sunnah, they deny the attribute and affirm the perfection of its opposite.

The Shaykh : Okay.

The questioner : Non-existence, origination, and annihilation... and other beliefs of the Asha'irah, is this denied?

The Shaykh : Yes, they usually describe Allah only with denial; their affirmation is little, and this is due to their ignorance. Because when they flee from likening Him to existing things, they fall into likening Him to non-existent things, for denial is non-existence. If you say "Zayd did not stand," it means that standing is non-existent.
The student: ... .

The Shaykh : What is it?
The student: Denial only.

The Shaykh : That is not correct. Until they affirm for Allah the meaning that is the opposite of this denial, it is not valid, it is not valid.
The student: Like eternity, that Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) is eternal... and what is denied of Him?

The Shaykh : Eternity is sufficient for Him, as He said:
He is the First هو الأول
.
Yes, Harun.
