What is the meaning of affirming the perfection of the opposite in the negated attributes?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : The first rule among the rules regarding the names and attributes

The Shaykh : Yes

The questioner : We told them that among what has been negated regarding Allah, the Exalted, while affirming the perfection of its opposite, is death

The Shaykh : Yes, indeed

The questioner : So what is the perfect opposite in these attributes?

The Shaykh : What?

The questioner : So what is the perfect opposite in these attributes?

The Shaykh : Yes, He does not die because of the perfection of His life; He does not oppress because of the perfection of His justice; He does not be ignorant because of the perfection of His knowledge; He does not forget because of the perfection of His knowledge as well. Yes, because of the perfection of His life, for sleep does not occur except for one whose life is deficient, as he needs rest for what has passed and renewal of energy for the future.
The student: And mercy?

The Shaykh : Yes, Allah does not.
And for this reason, the people of Paradise do not sleep because of the perfection of their life and the perfection of their enjoyment. If they were to sleep, it would indicate relaxation of the body and their need for rest, and they would miss out on enjoyment to the extent of the time their sleep occupied.
The student: Negligence, O Shaykh?

The Shaykh : The opposite of negligence is the perfection of watchfulness, due to the perfection of His watchfulness. He does not become negligent, and nothing distracts Him from anything. As for the saying of Allah, Blessed and Exalted is He:
We will attend to you, O prominent beings. سنفرغ لكم أيها الثقلان
[Ar-Rahman 55:31]
, the meaning is not that He was previously distracted from it, but this is a matter of threat. Therefore, He said afterwards:
O company of jinn and mankind, if you are able to pass beyond the regions of the heavens and the earth, then pass
[Ar-Rahman 55:33]
, so We will free ourselves. This is a threat, without doubt. It does not mean He is busy with the first thing, just as you would say to your child if you wanted to intimidate him, what would you say? "I am the one who will free myself for you, I will show you." This is the meaning. Yes.
