And the indication of the Book and the Sunnah regarding the establishment of the attribute has three aspects: the first is the explicit mention of the attribute, such as might, power, mercy, severity, and the face

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"And the indication of the Book and the Sunnah regarding the establishment of the attribute has three aspects:
The first is the explicit mention of the attribute, such as might, power, mercy, severity, the face, the hands, and the like"
Where is the evidence for might?
And to Allah belongs [all] honor, and to His Messenger
[Al-Munafiqun 63:8]
Power
Indeed, it is Allah who is the [continual] Provider, the firm possessor of strength.
[Adh-Dhariyat 51:58]
Mercy
And your Lord is the Forgiving, full of mercy
[Al-Kahf 18:58]
Severity
Indeed, the vengeance of your Lord is severe.
[Al-Buruj 85:12]
The face
And the Face of your Lord will remain
The hands
Rather, both His hands are extended
[Al-Ma'idah 5:64]
And the like, for example, the eye.
"The second is that the name includes it" That the attribute is not explicitly mentioned by name, but the name includes it. It has been mentioned to us previously that faith in the names of Allah is not complete except by affirming them as names of Allah and affirming the attributes they include.
"And the third is affirming the ruling included in them if they are transitive" Good. "Such as al-Ghafur (The All-Forgiving) which includes forgiveness, and al-Sami' (The All-Hearing) which includes hearing, and the like. See the third rule regarding the names" Even though al-Ghafur (The All-Forgiving) has come in the Qur'an as "Possessor of Forgiveness"
And indeed, your Lord is full of forgiveness for the people despite their wrongdoing
[Ar-Ra'd 13:6]
, this does not prevent the establishment of forgiveness, meaning the attribute of forgiveness, from having two proofs: one is the explicit mention of it, and the second is the name that includes it.
