Do we attribute direction to Allah?

The Shaykh : As for the question of whether we attribute direction to Allah or not, I say: As for the term itself, I neither affirm it nor deny it, and I am safe from it. I have what suffices for it, which is that He is above the Throne, that He is above the heavens, that He is the Most High, and that He is the Subduer above His servants. Praise be to Allah; we are in no need of it. "As for the meaning, it does not escape three possibilities: that it is a direction that encompasses Him, or a direction of below, or a direction of above that does not encompass Him. The third is true, and the first and second are false." And you have understood the point of that.
