Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Shaykh, regarding the hadith that prohibits raising one's voice when encountering the enemy, what is the response?

The Shaykh : What?

The questioner : Regarding the hadith that prohibits raising one's voice when encountering the enemy

The Shaykh : About?

The questioner : about raising one's voice when encountering the enemy?

The Shaykh : No, it is not [a blanket prohibition]; it depends on the situation. If there is a fear that the enemy will use the sound of the takbir to locate the person, and that is the intended outcome, then raising one's voice is prohibited. Be patient. However, if there is no harm involved, there is nothing wrong with it. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) advanced toward the enemy during the Battle of Hunayn while saying, "I am the Prophet, and I do not lie; I am the son of Abd al-Muttalib." Yes.
