Explanation of the Book of the Adhan-03b

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: Abu Nu'aym narrated to us, saying: Shu'ayb narrated to us from Yahya, saying: I heard Abu Salama say: Jabir ibn 'Abd Allah informed us that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was visited by 'Umar ibn al-Khattab on the day of the Trench. He said: "O Messenger of Allah, by Allah, I almost did not pray until the sun was about to set, and that was after the fasting person had broken his fast." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
By Allah, I did not pray it والله ما صليتها
Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) descended to Batahan, and I was with him. He performed wudu, then prayed, meaning the 'Asr prayer, after the sun had set. Then he prayed Maghrib after that.
