Explanation of the Book of the Adhan-04b

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: Qutaybah narrated to us from Malik from Sami, the freed slave of Abu Bakr, from Abu al-Salamah al-Saman, from Abu Hurayrah that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
While a person was going along the path he found a thorny branch upon it. He pushed it to a side and Allah approved (this action) of his and (as a mark of appreciation) granted him pardon. بينما رجل يمشي بطريق وجد غصن شوك على الطريق فأخره فشكر الله له فغفر له
Sahih Muslim 1914b
, then he said:
Five are martyrs: One who dies of plague, one who dies of an Abdominal disease, one who dies of drowning, one who is buried alive (and) dies and one who is killed in Allah's cause. الشهداء خمسة المطعون والمبطون والغريق وصاحب الهدم والشهيد في سبيل الله
Sahih al-Bukhari 652, 653, 654
and he said:
If the people knew the reward for pronouncing the Adhan and for standing in the first row (in the congregational prayer) and found no other way to get it except by drawing lots they would do so, and if they knew the reward of offering the Zuhr prayer early (in its stated time), they would race for it and if they knew the reward for `Isha' and Fajr prayers in congregation, they would attend them even if they were to crawl.
Sahih al-Bukhari 652, 653, 654
.

The Shaykh : This hadith, in reality, is a collection of three hadiths, because you will not find a connection between its sentences. The first is:
While a person was going along the path he found a thorny branch upon it. He pushed it to a side and Allah approved (this action) of his and (as a mark of appreciation) granted him pardon. بينما رجل يمشي في طريق وجد غصن شوك على الطريق فأخره فشكر الله له فغفر له
Sahih Muslim 1914b
