The Shaykh : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
The author (may Allah have mercy on him) stated, in what he quoted from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), that he said: This hadith indicates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) informed that a man passed by a road and found a branch on the road that was causing harm to the Muslims, whether this branch was from above, causing harm to their heads, or from below, causing harm to their feet; the important thing is that it was a thorny branch causing harm to the Muslims. So he removed it from the road, moving it away and clearing it, and Allah was pleased with him for that and admitted him to Paradise, even though this branch, if it caused harm to the Muslims, only caused harm to their bodies. Nevertheless, Allah forgave this man and admitted him to Paradise. In this is evidence of the virtue of removing harm from the road and that it is a cause for entering Paradise. In it is also evidence that Paradise exists now, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw this man rolling about in it. This is a matter indicated by the Book and the Sunnah, and the people of the Sunnah and the community have agreed that Paradise exists now. For this reason, Allah the Exalted said: [Ali 'Imran 3:133] “prepared,” meaning: arranged. This is evidence that it exists now, just as the Fire also exists now, and they will never cease to exist. Allah (Mighty and Majestic) created them to remain, with no end to them, and whoever enters them will not cease to exist either. So whoever is among the people of Paradise will remain in it, eternal and immortal, forever and ever. And whoever is among the people of the Fire will enter it, eternal and immortal in it, forever and ever. In this hadith is evidence that whoever removes harm from the Muslims has this great reward in a tangible matter, so what about the intangible matter? What about the intangible matter? There are some people, and may Allah protect us from them, who are people of evil and affliction, with wicked ideas and bad morals, who turn people away from the religion of Allah. Removing these people from the path of the Muslims is far better and a greater reward with Allah. So if the harm of these people is removed, if they are people with wicked, bad, atheistic ideas, they are refuted and their ideas are invalidated.
