Continuation of the benefits of the hadith with explanation.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : He prays what? The greeting of the mosque, because there is no prohibition regarding the greeting of the mosque, since every prayer that has a cause is not prohibited.
And his saying:
remains silent while the Imam is delivering the Khutba ينصت إذا تكلم الإمام
Sahih al-Bukhari 883
He speaks about what? About the sermon.
As for when he does not speak while sitting until the mu'adhdhin finishes the adhan or during the silence between the two sermons, then speaking in this state does no harm, unless a person fears causing disturbance to those around him, in which case he should not speak. And his saying:
his sins between that time and the next Friday would be forgiven إلا غفر ما بينه وبين الجمعة الأخرى
Sahih Muslim 857a
The apparent meaning of the hadith is general, that all his sins are forgiven, even the major ones, and some scholars adopted this view, but the majority hold that avoiding major sins is a condition, based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
The five [daily] prayers, Friday to Friday and Ramadan to Ramadan make atonement for what has happened since the previous one when major sins have been avoided. الصلوات الخمس والجمعة إلى الجمعة ورمضان إلى رمضان مكفرات لما بينهن إذا اجتنبت الكبائر
Mishkat al-Masabih 564
