Continuation of the Explanation of the Hadith

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. In the previous hadith regarding the issue of breastfeeding, you know what we mentioned in it, yes. And you still have knowledge, answer, and it has not gone away as its time has gone. Yesterday it left, and it is not coming back. So, has the knowledge you have gone with it?
The student: No.

The Shaykh : All right, our answer regarding the Zahiriyyah and the apparent meaning of the hadith is this: The hadith of 'Uqbah is that the unrestricted is interpreted by the restricted. This is from one side. From another side, the ambiguous is interpreted by the clear. And this issue, you must take it in your hands and bite down on it with your molars: that the ambiguous is interpreted by the clear. And by this, many difficulties are resolved. For example, what happened to the Companions when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent them to Banu Qurayzah and said:
None of you should pray 'Asr except in Banu Quraizah لا يصلين أحد منكم العصر إلا في بني قريظة
So they set out, and the time for prayer caught up with them, and they divided into two groups: some of them prayed, and some of them delayed until the sun had set and did not pray until they were in Banu Qurayzah. Those who prayed said that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) intended for us to hasten, so it was as if he said, "The time for 'Asr will not come unless you are there." And the others said: He intended for us not to pray except in Banu Qurayzah, and this would be specific, while the hadith of the prayer times is general, so this would be specific for this situation. So they did not pray until they reached Banu Qurayzah. The one who was correct among them was the one who prayed within its time, because the hadith of the prayer times is clear (muhkam), and the fact that the Messenger commanded them not to pray in Banu Qurayzah is ambiguous; it is possible that he intended this, and it is possible that he intended to hasten the departure. So is it now ambiguous or not ambiguous?
The student: Ambiguous.

The Shaykh : Ambiguous. It is interpreted by what?
The student: The clear.

The Shaykh : By the clear, which is the obligation of prayer within its time. And this is a rule that benefits the student of knowledge in many issues: that if the indication of a hadith is ambiguous to you, or a verse of the Qur'an as well—Allah has stated that regarding the Qur'an—
in it are verses [that are] precise - they are the foundation of the Book منه آيات محكمات هن أم الكتاب
[Ali 'Imran 3:7]
then you return it to the clear (muhkam) in which there is no ambiguity, because Allah does not burden a soul except with what it can bear, and the clear (muhkam) is what Allah (Mighty and Majestic) intended. So based on this, what do we do with the hadith of 'Uqbah ibn Harith? It is interpreted by the authentic hadith of 'A'ishah, which Muslim narrated. And in the hadith of 'A'ishah, there is a problem that I did not see you ask about? So I do not know the reason for that. Is it because you saw the discussion of it as incidental, and you said, "We do not branch off from the incidental," because if we branch off from the incidental, and branch off from its branch, and its branch, and its branch, the time is delayed? Or did it not occur to you?
The student: ... .

The Shaykh : And what is it?
The student: ...

The Shaykh : Why did she say:
when Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) died these words were among what was recited in the Qur'an توفي الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم وهي فيما يقرأ من القرآن
Bulugh al-Maram 8:195
And where did it go? If it was, if the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away while it was being recited from the Qur'an, then there is no abrogation after the death of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). But the scholars answered regarding that that the abrogation was hidden from many of the Companions, so they were reciting it, they were reciting it, then it became clear to everyone, so it was not in the Qur'an. The alternation in knowledge, not like the... book
The student: You explained it, O Shaykh.

The Shaykh : Were all those present with me when I explained it? All right.
The student: O Shaykh, the explanation ended yesterday, the day before yesterday, and the time ended.

The Shaykh : Yes
The student: With the adhan.

The Shaykh : Please go ahead.
