Clarification of the Correct Creed Regarding the Meaning of Istiwa'

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : If you build your creed on the basis that Allah rose above the Throne, meaning He elevated Himself above it in a manner befitting His Majesty (Mighty and Majestic), it is not permissible for us to ask how He did so or to imagine the manner of it, for Allah the Exalted is above what the mind can conceive. And read the saying of Allah the Exalted:
There is nothing like unto Him, and He is the Hearing, the Seeing. ليس كمثله شيء وهو السميع البصير
[Ash-Shuraa 42:11]
And if people give you a ruling and you give a ruling contrary to what the Qur'an and the Sunnah indicate, do not accept it. Do not be a follower who says, "I am just like the people." The common person knows the meaning of "istawa" (rose above) upon a thing, which means He elevated Himself above it. Read the saying of Allah the Exalted:
and has made for you of ships and animals those which you mount. وجعل لكم من الفلك والأنعام ما تركبون
[Az-Zukhruf 43:12]
Complete the verse, do you? Complete it, complete it.
