The Shaykh : What remains for us, my brothers, is: Did the Companions and the Imams of the Muslims after them reach a consensus that Allah is High in His own self? The answer is: Yes. The way to establish their consensus is that they recite the Book of Allah and read the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family), and it is not reported from any one of them a denial of the Exaltation of Allah. The fact that they read the Qur'an morning and evening, reciting the Qur'an morning and evening, and reciting the Sunnah, and it is not reported from any one of them a single letter denying the Exaltation of Allah Himself, is evidence of their consensus on this. And the consensus of the Imams after them is famous and known. If you wish, read "The Gathering of the Islamic Armies Against the Ta'til and the Jahmiyyah" or "The Ta'til and the Jahmiyyah".
