The story of the angels prostrating to Adam (peace be upon him).

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Prostrating to other than Allah, is prostrating to other than Allah shirk (associating partners with Allah)? On one day, prostrating to other than Allah became an act of worship, and leaving it became disbelief. Please proceed.

The Shaykh : Yes.

The Shaykh : Correct, complete it, rest. Allah commanded the angels to prostrate to Adam, so they prostrated in obedience to the command of Allah. Iblis refused, so he became one of the disbelievers. It is now clear that Allah (Mighty and Majestic) has the right to command whatever He wills, but all His commands are for a wisdom in which there is no play or falsehood, rather, everything He has commanded is wisdom.
