Is the phrase that Islam is a religion of equality correct?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : May Allah reward you. The honorableThe Shaykh : Is the phrase that Islam is a religion of equality correct?

The Shaykh : No. The one who says that Islam is a religion of equality is incorrect. Islam is a religion of justice, not a religion of equality. It has not come in the Noble Qur'an or the Sunnah that the religion of Islam is a religion of equality. Rather, Allah the Exalted said:
Indeed, Allah orders justice and good conduct and giving to relatives إن الله يأمر بالعدل والإحسان وإيتاء ذي القربى
[An-Nahl 16:90]
It is known that if two people are equal in entitlement in every respect, equality exists here because it is justice. But if we say that it is a religion of equality, much evil enters us. It would be said, "So make the male and female equal, make the scholar and the ignorant person equal, make the wrongdoer and the peaceful person equal." This is not possible. Rather, the correct statement is to say: What is the Islamic religion? It is a religion of justice. Those who are equal in entitlement and descriptions are equal, and those who differ have their own ruling. Yes.
