Is my mother's maternal aunt or her paternal aunts a mahram to me? Is it permissible for me to shake their hands or kiss their heads, given that they are elderly women?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : He says:The questioner : Is my mother's maternal aunt or her paternal aunt a mahram to me? Is it permissible for me to shake her hand or kiss her head, given that she is an elderly woman?

The Shaykh : Or kiss her? Is it permissible to what?

The questioner : To kiss her.

The Shaykh : In the accusative case or the nominative case?

The questioner : In the accusative case.

The Shaykh : You put it in the nominative case. May Allah reward you. First, we will give you a useful rule, if Allah wills. A person's maternal aunt is a maternal aunt to him and his descendants until the Day of Resurrection. A person's paternal aunt is a paternal aunt to him and his descendants until the Day of Resurrection. Did you understand this? So, is your mother's maternal aunt a mahram to you or not? She is a mahram, because your mother's maternal aunt is your maternal aunt. Your mother's maternal aunt is your maternal aunt, so she is a mahram. Therefore, there is nothing wrong with shaking her hand, and there is nothing wrong with kissing her head, provided that there is no fitnah (trial, discord or temptation). If, for example, this maternal aunt is beautiful and a person fears that kissing her head might stir up desire, then it is not permissible. But if there is no such barrier, then there is nothing wrong with it. Yes.

The questioner : The questioner says: Some scholars say that it is from... that it is answered.

The Shaykh : Some scholars say, some scholars say, read it.

The questioner : Some scholars say that it is from...

The Shaykh : That it is? My brother, we have given you the rule twice. What did we say? The hamza after "qala" (said) is kasrah (short i), and I told you to remember the saying of Allah the Exalted:
[Jesus] said, "Indeed, I am the servant of Allah قال إني عبد الله
[Maryam 19:30]
.

The questioner : Shaykh, it is written.

The Shaykh : Fine.

The questioner : It is written.

The Shaykh : Yes.
