The questioner : He has another question, O honorable Shaykh. He says that he went to perform Hajj last year and says, "My intention was to complete the rites of Hajj in the best possible manner, but I stoned the pillars on the second day after the Fajr prayer. I saw the people stoning the pillars, so I stoned like them. However, I heard from some of the brothers that they say stoning the pillars is after the sun passes its zenith. Since I was unable to stone again on that day due to exhaustion and the crowd, please advise us on the ruling of my Hajj. May Allah reward you."
The Shaykh : What the brothers have issued as a fatwa to you, that it is not permissible to stone before the sun passes its zenith on the eleventh day, and likewise on the twelfth, and likewise on the thirteenth, is correct.
The questioner : Yes.
The Shaykh : Because the time for stoning on these three days does not begin until after the sun passes its zenith. Accordingly, your stoning after the Fajr prayer was outside its time, so it is rejected and not accepted, based on the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)Sahih Muslim 1718b. It should have been that when they informed you that your stoning after the Fajr prayer was not valid, you went in the late afternoon or at night.
The questioner : Yes.
The Shaykh : You stoned, but since that did not suffice, it is obligatory for you now to slaughter a fidyah in Makkah and distribute it to the poor, and that serves as a substitute for the obligatory act you left.
And on this occasion, I advise this brother, the questioner, and all my brothers among the listeners not to perform an act of worship until they know what is obligatory in it and what is forbidden in it, so that they do not leave an obligation or fall into a prohibition. How many are there who make a mistake in Hajj and then come to the scholars to ask them afterward, and perhaps the time has passed and it cannot be rectified. All of this is because people do not care about their acts of worship; I mean that many people do not care about their acts of worship, but they go out with this scholar and do as the people do, even if it is based on ignorance. And then they regret it. So if you want to worship Allah the Exalted with knowledge, learn the rulings of the act of worship you intend to perform before you do it, so that your action is built on a sound foundation. Yes.
The questioner : May Allah bless you.

He who did any act for which there is no sanction from our behalf, that is to be rejected.
