Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : And because the Shari'ah is the path that Allah established for His servants.
with wisdom بالحكمة
Wisdom, according to the scholars, is placing things in their appropriate positions.
and good admonition والموعظة الحسنة
Admonition is mentioning what softens hearts and brings them closer to the Shari'ah of Allah (Mighty and Majestic).
and argue with them in a way that is best وجادلهم بالتي هي أحسن
[An-Nahl 16:125]
He did not say "good debate," because the debater is not satisfied with what is good, but only what is best refutes him. This is part of the eloquence of the Noble Qur'an. The call is an absolute call
Call to the way of your Lord ادع إلى سبيل ربك
. Admonition must be good. And good admonition is what conforms to the Shari'ah. Allah (Mighty and Majestic) said:
And who is better in speech than one who invites to Allah and does righteousness and says, "Indeed, I am of the Muslims." ومن أحسن قولا ممن دعا إلى الله وعمل صالحا وقال إنني من المسلمين
[Fussilat 41:33]
