How to Call People to Allah with Wisdom and Good Exhortation
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
We move on to a message received by the program from the field of the sender, the listener Abu Ayyub. Abu Ayyub says: I want to call people with wisdom and good exhortation, but how do I do it? Is the Shari'ah in removing evil when I see it considered part of wisdom? Please advise us, may Allah reward you with good.
Answer: Allah the Exalted says in His Noble Book: [Surah al-Nahl: 125]. Wisdom is knowledge. Allah and His Messenger placed it in the appropriate place. This wisdom is to speak the truth at the right time and in the right place, conveying these commands with good phrases and gentle words that contain no violence. This is the good exhortation. Allah and His Messenger said: O servant of Allah, this is not permissible, fear Allah, may Allah have mercy on you, this is obligatory upon you, this must be left, using gentle phrases, along with clarifying the evidence: Allah said such and such, the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) said such and such. This is how wisdom and good exhortation are achieved: with clear speech from the words of Allah and the words of His Messenger, accompanied by gentleness and without violence, harshness, or cursing or the like. Rather, the speech should be clear and gentle, without violence but with kindness and good words. And argue with what is best when there is argumentation. If the one who commits evil argues with you, argue with him with what is best, except for one who has wronged; due to the saying of the Exalted: [Surah al-'Ankabut: 46]. One who has wronged deserves to be argued with in a manner similar to his action. Yes.
The presenter: May Allah reward you with good and do you good.
Answer: Allah the Exalted says in His Noble Book:
Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good instruction, and argue with them in a way that is best
ادْعُ إِلَى سَبِيلِ رَبِّكَ بِالْحِكْمَةِ وَالْمَوْعِظَةِ الْحَسَنَةِ وَجَادِلْهُمْ بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُAnd do not argue with the People of the Scripture except in a way that is best, except for those who commit injustice among them
وَلا تُجَادِلُوا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ إِلَّا بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ إِلَّا الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا مِنْهُمْThe presenter: May Allah reward you with good and do you good.
