The Shaykh : Look at justice and fairness in litigating with an opponent. Allah (Blessed and Exalted is He) said:

Say, "Indeed, Allah does not order immorality.

قل إن الله لا يأمر بالفحشاء

[Al-A'raf 7:28]

And He remained silent regarding their statement:

We found our fathers doing it

وجدنا عليها آباءنا

[Al-A'raf 7:28]

Why? Because they were truthful; they found their fathers upon this obscenity or upon this injustice. So Allah affirmed the truth and invalidated the falsehood. The falsehood is their statement:

Indeed, Allah has commanded us with it

إن الله أمرنا بها

. And the truth is their statement:

We found our fathers doing it

وجدنا عليها آباءنا

[Al-A'raf 7:28]
