Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"Or are they closer to Islam than you" "Or are they" means "rather, they are." The "am" here is for emphasis (idraab), meaning "rather, they are."
"Or are they closer to Islam than you*** The morning has dawned for one who has two eyes"
"Laha" means it became clear and manifest.
"And Allah will judge between you on the Day of Recompense*** With justice and equity and the balance"
Yes, Allah the Mighty and Majestic will judge between the creatures on the Day of Resurrection with justice and the balance, because the creatures on the Day of Resurrection will litigate against one another. Who will litigate? The people of truth and the people of falsehood. For example, in our current era, there are people of falsehood; we tell them, "This is falsehood," and they say, "No." On the Day of Resurrection, they will be our opponents, and we will litigate against them.
(30) Indeed, you are to die, and indeed, they are to die. (31) Then indeed you, on the Day of Resurrection, before your Lord, will dispute. إنك ميت وإنهم ميتون ثم إنكم يوم القيامة عند ربكم تختصمون
[Az-Zumar 39:30-31]
The believer will litigate against the disbeliever on the Day of Resurrection. Why? In order to establish the proof against him on a day when he cannot escape. On the Day of Resurrection, the sinner cannot escape, and the believer will litigate against him to establish the proof against him. For this reason, you will find in many verses
and He will [then] inform you concerning that over which you used to differ. فينبئكم بما كنتم فيه تختلفون
[Al-Ma'idah 5:48]
that litigation is necessary. This brings joy to the believing person whose words are not accepted in this world; he rejoices that there is another standing where his word will be the one followed and the one that prevails. Perhaps he will prevail in this world, or perhaps Allah will hasten victory for the person in this world, just as He will grant him victory in the Hereafter. But in the Hereafter, victory is guaranteed for whom? For the believers. There will be litigation, and Allah the Mighty and Majestic will judge between them with justice. Yes.
