The Effect of Disputes with People on the Acceptance of Good Deeds

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
We return at the beginning of this episode to a message sent to the program from listener (S. A. S. A.), our brother, to whom we presented some questions in a previous episode. In this episode, he says in this question: I praise Allah, I pray and fast, and I have performed the lesser pilgrimage, but my problem is that I am in a constant dispute with many people, including those closest to me. Does this dispute nullify my deeds? Are my good deeds not accepted by Allah? Is the supplication I make not answered because of that dispute? Please guide us, may Allah reward you with good.

Answer:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, and may Allah send prayers and blessings upon the Messenger of Allah, and upon his family and his Companions, and upon those who follow his guidance. As for what follows:
The disputes and quarrels between you and people do not nullify your deeds, and praise be to Allah, your deeds remain as they are. Your good deeds, if Allah accepts them, the disputes with people and lawsuits do not invalidate them. However, we advise you to be cautious of disputing without right and quarreling without right. As for if you are wronged and transgressed against, you may dispute and seek your right in the court, on the condition that you seek the truth and say nothing but good.
As for intentionally pursuing falsehood, or bringing false witnesses, this is forbidden for you and a sin, but it does not invalidate your deeds. Rather, it is a deficiency in your faith and a weakness in your faith. You must seek the truth, not dispute in falsehood, not quarrel in falsehood, and strive to leave disputes and repent to Allah for that, except if you are afflicted and people claim against you without right; then you may dispute with them in the court until you clear yourself of the falsehood they claimed, yes.

The presenter : May Allah reward you with good, and may He do you good.
