The ruling on one who prays naked while being able to cover his 'awrah (part of the body that must be covered)

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : We also listened to the saying of Allah the Exalted:
O children of Adam, take your adornment at every masjid, and eat and drink, but be not excessive يا بني آدم خذوا زينتكم عند كل مسجد وكلوا واشربوا ولا تسرفوا
[Al-A'raf 7:31]
. Thus, Allah the Exalted commanded us to take on our adornment at every mosque, meaning at every prayer. This is what the scholars mentioned regarding the obligation of covering the 'awrah (part of the body that must be covered) in prayer. Ibn 'Abd al-Barr (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "The people have agreed upon the invalidity of the prayer of one who prays naked while being able to cover his 'awrah (part of the body that must be covered)".
